Camphor: Mix 1 teaspoon camphor in 1/2 cup slightly warm coconut oil and apply on the chest.

Loosen any tight clothing, if you are wearing.

Mustard Powder and Rice Flour: Mix equal quantities of mustard powder and rice flour. Add some water to it and boil until it reaches a paste like consistency. Spread on a handkerchief and foment the chest and neck when bearably hot.

Fennel Seeds: Boil 2 tablespoon fennel seeds in 1 cup water and heat it till it is reduced to half. Filter the mixture and take 1 tablespoon two times daily.

Mustard Seeds and Honey: Grind 1/4 teaspoon mustard seeds to a smooth paste. Mix with honey and eat.

Do not put a pillow under your child's head since this can close his airway.

Powdered Nutmeg: Boil 3 tablespoon powdered nutmeg in 1 cup sesame oil. Cool it and apply on affected parts.

Carrom Seeds and Turmeric Powder: Add to 1/2 litre of boiling water, 1 teaspoon carom seeds powder along with 1 teaspoon turmeric powder. Cool it and take 1 tablespoon of this mixture alongwith 1 teaspoon honey.

Be as calm and reassuring as you can. If anxiety develops in patients mind, it can worsen the problem.

Garlic and Honey: Mix 1 teaspoon oi I of garlic and 3 teaspoons honey and take a small amount three times a day.

If your child becomes d rowsy or stops wheezing, do not assume that his condition is improving. His condition may have taken a turn for the worse. But if you've already called the emergency medical service, help should arrive quickly.
