Ice Bag: You may place an ice bag on the diaphragm for sometime, this will give you some relief.

Ginger: Suck 2-3 small pieces of fresh ginger. This helps in curing hiccups fast and effectively.

Peanut Butter: For some eating a spoonful of peanut butter stops hiccups immediately. It can work for children also.

Pineapple or Orange Juice: Drink a glass of pineapple or orange juice for treating hiccups which keep occurring again and again.

Lemon: Sucking a lemon with worcestershire sauce can also work with hiccups.

Cardamom Fresh Powder: Boil 1/2 tsp of cardamom fresh powder in 2 cup water till about 1 cup water remains, Sieve it and drink a glassful of this warm water.

Mustard Seeds: Swallow 1/ 2 teaspoon mustard seeds mixed with 1/2 teaspoon pure ghee.

Sugar: 1 tsp of sugar sucked on will relieve hiccups.

Laugh Loudly: Laughing loudly will soon stop the hiccups.

Some other relieving activities that you may do are :- Close your eyes and gently press your eye balls, Drink a glass of soda water quickly, Eat some sugar, Eat one tbs peanut butter, Sip some ice cold water quickly.

Some Other Tricks:

Plug your ears with your fingers and drink something with a straw. This will help in curing hiccups fast.

Tickle your uvula (the skin that hangs down deep inside in your mouth) with a wrapped straw.
